In 2024, Cinnamon Dowd became director of enrollment services, marketing, and communication at Kennesaw State University. In this role, she leads marketing, communications, and social media for undergraduate admissions, new student programs, and financial aid.
Ms. Dowd previously served as university marketing manager at Georgia Southern University, where she developed and executed multi-media campaigns designed to influence student recruitment and retention. She managed projects from concept to execution, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver effective, results-oriented campaigns. Her work included analyzing performance metrics across paid media, websites, and CRM systems to refine strategy and improve outcomes continuously.
In addition to her professional work, she contributes to the advancement of higher education marketing through research and thought leadership. She co-authored a successful $20,000 grant for Kennesaw State University and is scheduled to present at the eduWEB Conference in July 2026.
